Work arrived in lumps from the CEO and had to leave as client releases. In between sits the breaking-down, the assigning, and knowing who is about to miss a date while it is still early enough to matter.
The daily shape was a stand-up, a retrospective after each round, and testing sessions we ran together. Code review and technical coaching were mine on the frontend and backend. Some work I did not write myself — I scoped it, handed it to a junior, and reviewed it before it shipped.
The other half was people: screening applications, interviewing, writing an evaluation rubric other people could use, and setting up the community structure and stand-up bot the team still runs after I left.
