CASE STUDIES

Work orders that can say when the technician arrived

A field-service system: work orders with full status history, maintenance contracts tied to an SLA, spare-part stock, and a customer tree that reaches individual installed machines.

I travelled to the client's office and sat with the people who use the system to take the brief myself. What came back was not a feature list but the gap between the old system and how the work actually happens.

Work orders keep the whole status history, from opening the job to the technician arriving. Maintenance contracts carry an SLA and warn before it slips. Spare-part stock is editable from the screen without waiting on a developer. The customer tree runs from head office down to the machines installed at each branch.

Reports export in the format their team already uses, not the one the new system would prefer.
